My poster at different stages

I decided to use the rollerblading scene when making my poster. I thought the shot where Jade was rollerblading with Aimee was cool and would make a good poster. I found the part of the clip I liked and decided to take a screenshot.
This is the second snapshot I uses. I masked Aimee onto the 1st image.

I decided then to combine the two images and mask Aimee over so she would look transparent. She's an invisible friend after all. I thought that it made an awesome poster. I think the opacity is at a good level- she is visible but faint and transluscent.I cropped the poster. And added the title and byline. However, I found that the colour of the text was washed out and didn't look good at all. I felt that the colour symbolised Jade's album and her memories- which was what the movie is based around. I like my byline 'you can't change a memory' because that is what the movie is based around- the fact that Jade can't change her memory or forget Aimee. I felt that the positioning of the title and byline didn't look right.

After experimenting with drop shadows, outer and inner glows (and other various effects), I found that I made the text look better. It stood out and the pink was deeper and appeared more like the album as opposed to to the previous light purple which did not look aesthetically pleasing at all. The title 'Unforgettable' stands out. I also changed the positioning of the text because I felt that the design was aesthetically better. Also, I researched other posters for Hollywood films and found that they used a similar layout- byline at the top and title at the bottom.
