My trailer is about 1 minute long. It features the track 'We Speak No Americano' by Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup. I feel that this soundtrack suits the trailer because of the upbeat rhythm and the PERFECT ending! Right when the trailer ends, the song stops right before the chorus. The track is also in a different language and it adds to the foreign-ness of BB's world.
My trailer features two animated scenes extracted from the movie. The first is BB in Boo's room, asking whether Boo wants to join her on a trip to the beach. The second is the first scene of the movie where BB is created. I like the scene in Boo's room because the audience gets a glimpse of two characters and the way they communicate. It also shows a beach and a sleepy Boo in thought bubbles. I think the scene where 'BB is born' is appropriate because the audience gets to see a close up of BB's face. They also see the phrase 'BB is Born' as she rolls out. The trailer stops with the audience intrigued as to who BB is, as not a lot of information is revealed in this trailer. It's exactly how I wanted it to be.
When researching trailers, I found that there was quite a bit of use of words; mainly quotes and intriguing phrases as well as rhetorical questions. I added phrases like 'A world where inanimate objects become animated' and also added a few narcisstic quotes. The trailer looks authentic because I also added 'this trailer has been approved for all audiences' picture which is in front of all trailers! I used all those elements to make it look authentic.
Overall, I believe my trailer is one of the strengths of my website because of the reasons stated above.
